Saturday was kind of a bummer of a day. We made plans to go to a Brewers Block Party with the hopes of meeting a Brewer and getting an autograph. Apparently, we should have been there at 9 a.m. instead of 11 a.m. (the start time). Since that fell through, we went back to Brigid's to hang out and wait for Grandma to come collect Steve and Addison. When she did, Addison fought the pavement. The pavement won, poor thing. When she was calmed down, the kids headed home with her. They were joined a little later by Amanda and Colin and spent some time in the pool and outside.
We stayed up at Brigid's and headed out to a Brewer game later on. That was a bummer too as the Brewers lost in extra innings. Quite a letdown of a day.
Amanda and Colin stayed until today. Steve and I had so much fun with them. We swam, played, went to the Milwaukee County Zoo and rode the train, and talked...and talked...and talked. It was a much needed visit for me, and I'm so glad that Amanda could spare the time to stay with us. We're already making plans for next year, only then we want Eric to come too. There have been many things promised, if he comes to visit!
