It was a whirlwind weekend, but that's better than nothing! Nolan and Annie were here Friday night through Sunday afternoon. We didn't do much, but we had a good time doing it! :)
Saturday Nolan, Annie, Steve and I went to Mader's in Milwaukee for some delicious German food. Steve earned us a huge compliment from a lady at the next table. She said, "You're the kind of people who should have babies. I haven't ever sat next to a baby who was so quiet during an entire meal." Yeah, Steve!!! He was great. Just stared at the ceiling and flirted with the waitresses.
Saturday night we went to Gurnee for dinner at Red Lobster. Nolan's sister met us there. Steve was a little less well behaved then. But, it was really loud there, so he didn't even make a dent in the noise.
Now, we're anxiously awaiting the arrival of Baby Meyer! Check out Amanda's blog for updates. If Baby Meyer arrives tomorrow, s/he will be exactly 6 months apart in age from Steve.
Speaking of which, how did Steve get to be 6 months old??? Where did that time go? I tested out some sweet potatoes tonight. Some went in his mouth, a lot went on his face, and even more on his shirt. We eventually gave up and took the shirt off. I don't know if he liked them or not, but he didn't scream so that's a good sign. We don't go to the doctor for a couple of weeks for his check-up so we won't have official stats until then.
Nolan, Steve and cars. Hummm..Sounds like a life-long relationship!
