Wrapping Up Summer

Matt spent last weekend off cavorting with our D.C. friends and family, so the boys and I were left to fend for ourselves. Thursday was a planned daycare day, which translated into a momma pampering day (Target, gym, haircut, pedicure).

Friday we made plans with Auntie Jean to go to Green Bay and visit her sister, Auntie Barbara. It was so much fun! Nevermind all of the crazy Packer people (the Packers had a pre-season game). We went to Bay Beach, which is an amusement park right on Green Bay (the body of water) and is super cheap. I went on a roller coaster for the first time in about 21 years...and I can probably wait another 21 to do it again. Not really my cup of tea. The rides are similar to what you find at a county or state fair, but without the ridiculous price tag or wait time. Steve was able to ride a lot his favorites twice, and when we did have to wait in line, it wasn't for very long. We are definitely going back and will probably spend the night next time. There was just too much to do and not enough time for everything!
