Nursing, sometimes prolonged because Steve is never fed.
Cleaning the diapers from the day.
Change Momma's clothes.
Play with all the toys we could get our hands on until dinner.
Things have changed now. Steve can walk, and with that his strong will has increased to an even stronger will. So, here's what happens now after our even longer days apart:
Pull into the garage and look through the mail before leaving the car.
Take all bags and things that need to go inside at least to the stoop before removing Steve from his car seat.
Remove Steve from car seat and watch him go. Often he finds his baseball bat and a wiffle ball. Then he runs around pointing to things, looking at and picking things up.
The final step is trying to get Steve into the house so any number of things can happen. There are usually tears. Lots of tears. And screams. And various forms of pleading with me not to go inside.
His curiosity is amazing. Too bad I can't change out of my work clothes in the garage so we could avoid the partial tantrum!
