Catching Up

We went to the doctor on Friday for a 15 month check-up for Steve. For whatever reason (maybe the fact that Momma scratched his nose), he did not want to sit on the scale. We miraculously got him on there for the 1 second needed to get an accurate weight.

Vitals:

Weight 25.8 pounds 50-75th percentile

Length 33.25 inches 90th percentile

Head Circumference 19 inches 75th percentile

Dr. Chance-Lawson said he looks good, healthy, and happy. He did get two more vaccinations plus a flu shot. He will need a flu booster mid-December, and another Hep A shot in May. Then, we're done with shots until he's ready to go to Kindergarten! Thank goodness. Although, he's such a trooper when it comes to shots. He cried for the amount of time it took to get the shots, but then all he wanted was some cuddling from Momma and Daddy, without tears. Such a tough guy.

He has also starting saying "bop" which, as near as we can tell, means "Flop". He's paying a lot of attention to Flop, most of which the he tolerates. It's been a while since Flop tried to scratch or bite Steve.

I'm still trying to get video of the dancing. It's tricky because Steve will only dance when he's in a REALLY good mood, usually in the morning between breakfast and nap time. And when he does dance, it isn't for very long. Just know that it's very cute. And you can always come visit us for a couple of days if you'd like to see the dancing for yourself.

Matt left on Sunday for Rock Island, IL, to attend some mandatory training. He's not having a very good time. We're trying to survive without him. Our mini-session of swimming lessons that started 2 weeks ago ended up being cancelled. Apparently Mrs. Mac got a bad batch of chlorine and the pool isn't safe for us to swim in. We'll be taking a break until January when the regular winter session begins again. We had already made plans to go to our friends' house, the Materas, for dinner after swimming, so we went anyway. It was fun. The food was great, the company better, and the Princess and Steve had a great time playing together. Jen and I even finished up our presentation for tomorrow night. Success! 

Lots of excitement over the next few days and weeks. I'll try to keep you updated, but might have to pass the task off on Matt as things get a little crazier with grad school, regular school, and the Christmas season getting into full swing. We do have reservations for Breakfast with Santa at the Racine Zoo. I'm hoping that will be as fun as I think it will be.
